PowerPoint PresentationPowerPoint (or Keynote) is the de facto communications tool in customer presentations and media/analyst briefings. We spent an inordinate number of hours preparing and refining our presentation to get the message tight and complete so that it told a compelling story and it looked visually appealing. I firmly believe this is a critical and often under-valued element of the Marketing deliverables. In fact, it's so important, here's a section dedicated to it.
VideoVideo is becoming more of a requirement in web site design.
- You should have a video on the home page that introduces people to your product. This is typically a 2-3 minute introduction/overview. It must look professional with a high production quality.
- Separate from that, you should have a series of deeper videos in your online library. They can be YouTube quality, (lower production quality than the home page video). These deeper videos fall into two categories:
- Business, strategy/industry perspective. This is your CEO as spokesperson talking about what's going on in the industry and within your company. The target audience is your potential customer's VPs and executives.
- Technical perspective. This is your CTO as spokesperson talking about what's special about your product in technical detail. The target audience is your potential customer's technical experts responsible for recommending and implementing your solution.
Resources:I recommend CrowdSpring for design resources. They design everything from Graphic Design (logo, business cards, landing pages, blogs, icons, T-shirts, etc), Naming, Writing, Packaging and Photography for a very reasonable price. |
